Dr. Sherri L. Becker
Dr. Sherri L. Becker is a 1985 honor graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry. She also holds a Bachelors degree in Medical Technology from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Becker was in private practice in Statesboro, Georgia from 1985-2000, before she and her family moved to Yorktown, Virginia. Since moving to Virginia, Dr. Becker has been associated with the Hampton Roads Eye Associates and Coastal Vision Care. Dr. Becker was President of the Georgia Optometric Association in 1994 and 1995, and the Athletic Department Optometrist for the Georgia Southern University Eagles. She is a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Becker is the recipient of numerous awards including Optometrist of the Year in Georgia, Young Optometrist of the Year, and many others.
Dr. Becker is highly committed to the highest quality eye care for the entire family. She is experienced in both routine vision care and in dealing with eye care emergencies and various eye diseases. Dr. Becker has a particular interest in children’s eye care and in fitting contact lenses for hard-to-fit patients. She is knowledgeable in treating red eyes, managing glaucoma, removing foreign bodies, and dealing with other injuries and diseases of the eye.

Debbie Fenton- Office Manager
Debbie Fenton has over eighteen years experience as an Office Manager in Medical practices. She has been an integral member of the Becker Eye Care team since 2005. In this ever-changing time of confusing health insurance plans, Debbie does her utmost to help patients with any concerns they may have. She is committed to patient care and devoted to making your eye care experience efficient, friendly, and helpful. She is also cross-trained in all aspects of practice operations.
Roberta Hargreaves- Optician
Roberta Hargreaves has over thirty years of experience as a Licensed Optician. She has been with Becker Eye Care since 2004. She is especially proud to have had the opportunity to serve the military and their families during the time she spent as manager of the NAB Little Creek Optical and owner of the optical concession at MCCS Camp Allen in Norfolk. Roberta has worked hard to maintain a high standard of excellence in patient care. She stays current with the latest fashion trends and newest lens technology. She focuses on patient's lifestyles and eyewear education in the process of dispensing eyewear. Just as we may need more that one pair of shoes, Roberta will help fit you with sun, computer, sport and occupational safety eyewear.
Janenne Shearer- Optometric Technician
Janenne Shearer joined Becker Eye Care in 2008. She has been an Optometric Technician since 1993. Her duties include obtaining patient history and necessary medical information during pre-examination testing. She also does visual field testing, topography testing, contact lens instruction, dispensing and ordering.
Brenda Corona-Medical Receptionist
Brenda joined our family in October of 2010. She works full time and will assist you in making your appointments, acquiring authorizations, and posting of charges and payments and answer any questions you may have with a smile.
